The tear button

I do NOT like disney, cartoons, cheesy movies! I grew up hating TV. I would sneak out of the theaters when ever my Dad tried taking me to a movie. I still HATE TV, lucky me I married a guy that hates TV as well so we don't have a TV. All the movies lately just seem like they are so lame and naughty. I hate putting crap in my mind so when I can see something that is good humor, cute, clean language and I can finish the movie thinking ahhh...refreshing..that is a good movie to me:) Anyways my boss gave me free movie tickets and so Taylor and I went and saw....

Can I just say THANK YOU to who ever made this movie! Honestly I really am not a Disney fan but I must say I am starting to fall in love.

During the movie..
Taylor heard me "sniff" and he looked over at me and said, "are you CRYING??" Hiding my face from him,I replied to him by saying, "NO, my contacts are just bugging me! gezz.." Ha truly I was crying! oh silly me, I honestly just was touched by the movie...sometimes I get too into things. Let me explain myself though...There is a part where the Dad sheds a tear because he lost his daughter. For some reason that pushed the tear button on me and that's when my contacts started to really bother me:) Just kidden..It really just made me think of my Dad because he never really cries and it made me think of the time he cried when my brother Sam died. (This is funny that a Disney movie..Tangled..made me think of this..) Anyways.........CUTE movie definitely recommend it!:)If your contacts happen to bother you during the movie..its OKAY!

Surprise!

On Sunday I had a surprise BIRTHday party for my Dad at my house. I invited all 6 of my Dads brothers and their wives and his one sister and her hubby. They all couldn't make it because some live out of state but 4 out of the 7 came..so not a bad turn out.

The food was so yummy..My husband helped me make broccoli soup and ham & bean soup in bread bowels. My dad is a health nut so I made some whole wheat bread for him to have:) The food, dessert, company, was all great! The party was a success! Yes!

Oh you desert ...

Taylor and I had the great privilege of going to Colorado to visit my FABULOUS, FUN, DARLING, SMART, INSPIRATIONAL SISTER and her family that I absolutely adore.
We did the following....

We went hiking..Just Jen, Taylor and I...
( I didn't get many pics of the hike but there are plenty of pics in this post.)
~We found this really cool building on the way and so I documented it...

Tay and I went down to the Garden of the Gods which was a really neat sight...

Colorado is not Utah...because Halloween was on Sunday and everyone else went trick or treating on Sunday, we had a party on Saturday in my sister's back yard with a lot of their friends.

Kate was an Egyptian Princes. When she came down to show her costume to us, Taylor and I said, "kate you look so CUTE" she replied back, "I bet sooo many people will tell me that tonight." oh Laugh Out Loud! Taylor said, we probably should stop telling her how cute she is.

~On Sunday the grown ups all went to different rooms of the house and the kids came around to each of the rooms to trick or treat. The kids had to do tricks to get there treats. It was so a joyous time watching them do tricks and tell jokes.

David climbing the wall like spider man..

Kate doing the splits to earn her treat..

Matthew doing push ups..

Good job Matthew you earned your treat and a pat from mom:)

Here are also a few random pics I took from the trip...

Oh Grace...

Today I would like to talk about a person that has been on my mind a lot lately. A person who I think we could all strive to be like. This person is ALWAYS reliable. Call and ask of a favor or a listening ear; an ear that you know if you don't want any other ear to hear you are safe with this one ear only to hear.

This person has had more than a load of trials in their life from a young age to now and still sees her life on this earth as beautiful. Their are so many people that go through trials and think LIFE SUCKS..or why is God allowing this to happen to me!?..whaaa. Thick and thin this person turns to the gospel, God, and faith to get through the hard times, knowing it is all worth it especially in the end. This person finds an optimistic view on life and how things could always be worse.

SERVICE, give, give, give, give,GIVE, GIVE!..I'm the mystery person and I like to give service EVERYDAY!..that may have sound smart-alec but really..this person is always willing to serve and help people.
RESPECT, their are so many people who do not respect themselves or others. This person has respect for self, family, friends and any other person that comes along in their life.

HONESTY, you want to know the truth, the HONEST truth and nothing but the TRUTH..well ask this person and you know that nothing being told to you is a lie. (Unless they are trying to pay for everything EVERY WHERE you go and they act like they have all the money in the world to pay for a dinner for a whole army.)

More personally this person has loved me like a mother that I long for every day and fills that gap in my life. Daughter, mother, best friend, outstanding employ, an example to many.....most important of all...My FAVORITE Aunt Patty~ LOVE YOU.

I can finally breathe and blog

At last! I have had NO time to blog lately school is consuming me I really have no spare time anymore.

Last weekend, early Sunday morning I woke up and felt a strong urge to hold a baby. I leaned over to Tay and told him, "I want a baby", he replied, "You are just tired, go back to sleep." I fell back asleep about an hour later a awoke again and still felt a strong urged to hold a BABY. I thought in my head, "Heavenly Father, come on help this urge go away or send a baby my way." Ten min. later still thinking about babies, Taylor came in and said, "CC! get up we are going to the hospital, Daneen (My sister in law) is going to have her baby. YES prayers are so answered! Obviously I can not have my own baby for three years, (have to finish school!) so what a pleasure it is when people around me share their bundles of joy!

Daneen made brith-giving seem so easy. She only had to push two times and the baby was out. (Epidurals seem to make it a lot nicer.)
Here she is..

Baby Kylee

AT last I got to fulfill my urge to hold a baby! I loved holding her I felt like I was holding a little doll.
