Tis the Season to be JOYFUL~

Taylor took me out for a little surprise to the Melting Pot (I have really been wanting to go). We went with his little sister and her boyfriend. I must say I think it is really over priced but the fondue was so yummy!

"Ginger bread houses"
We had a date night with some of my friends and decided to have a contest who could build the best ginger bread house. Well Tay and I had this fabulous image in our minds to create a wonderful ginger bread house. After 4 stores and taking 3hrs just putting the crackers together Tay gave up, (it was midnight so I don't blame him) I on the other hand refused to give up! After another hr of working on it by myself, realized I ran out of candy so I that gave me the perfect excuse to give up and call it good. We had a lot of FUN..despite my frustration with my unfinished house that looked like anything but a GINGER BREAD HOUSE..

My brother Max and his friend Anna from New York is staying with us this whole week. The other night we went and saw the lights with them on temple square and had a fabulous time! I love my brother/husband's friends they always crack me up!

On Christmas Eve we were with Tay's family and had a wonderful dinner with them. Later that night we each opened one gift from each other. ~

Christmas Morning~ We woke up early because we were both so exited to give each other our gifts (that is why our eyes are half shut in the pictures bellow).

After we opened presents at our house we went to my Dad and Linda's house. My only sibling that was there was Max, so we really missed my other brothers and my cute sis. Other then my whole fam not being there we still had a very enjoyable Christmas morning/afternoon at my Dad's we got a lot of money, and gift cards and also play tickets to Hall theater(which I am SO excited about!)

Back to Riverton we went to spend the evening with my In-laws. I love being at my in-law's house, their home is very warm and welcoming. As soon as we got there we opened presents~ We got a new microwave (which was need so bad because we didn't have one), we also got gift cards and a few clothes.

Christmas night we went to Shawn Lott's house (one of Tay's best friend)to see him and his family. I didn't get any pics of our visit there but we enjoyed chatting with the Lott fam.

Christmas was over all simply wonderful, It was our first Christmas together being married and I really loved spending it with my husband and family.

The only thing I could have wished for is for all my siblings to be together and also to be with Patty and her kids! (Maybe one of these years)..

Hope EVERYONE had a very Merry Christmas!

This and That

My Dad gave us BYU basketball tickets so we went and saw them play against Hawaii and of course they won! They have such an awesome basketball team! Oh how I bleed blue...........:)

I am a little late on posting about Thanksgiving and I did not get hardly any pics but I tried. This Thanksgiving we went with my Dad's side of the family to Lake Point and had a splendid day! Most of the time we just watched all the guys in the family have a huge basketball duel..they got so violent ha..but in a joking way of course! They always have to be playing some kind of sport, it is so entertaining though, I love it!

Tay and I with our little Thanksgiving props.

Me and some of my cousins

Taylor and I volunteered at this assisted living center Fri and Sat.

Just over the period of those two days I grew to love those old people so much! They made me laugh so hard, my face was hurting from smiling so much. Taylor and I really enjoyed being with them and playing games with them. We also had singing time with them which was so sweet to hear them sing Christmas songs, while we were singing this one guy didn't want to be there, I glanced over at him and saw him covering his ears..the next time I looked over at him he was taking his clothes all the way off and no one even noticed for a while and then he got in trouble and had to go back to his room. Some of the people have minds of a 1yr old, it is kind of sad to see how out of it they are, and how they don't even remember how many kids they have.

I have never been hit on by so many old people in my life, after asking this one guy if he wanted ice cream he told me to come lay down with him in bed so we can talk about it... another guy told me he wanted me to be his girlfriend, I told him I was married and he said, "oh I won't tell anybody... and I said no it is okay I am MARRIED. He then said, "oh I will tell EVERYBODY NOW". Oh they are so cute and old. I could go on with so many more stories but nahhh.

This is all I have to post for now I have been so busy with school and work! I am so looking forward to Christmas break!

The tear button

I do NOT like disney, cartoons, cheesy movies! I grew up hating TV. I would sneak out of the theaters when ever my Dad tried taking me to a movie. I still HATE TV, lucky me I married a guy that hates TV as well so we don't have a TV. All the movies lately just seem like they are so lame and naughty. I hate putting crap in my mind so when I can see something that is good humor, cute, clean language and I can finish the movie thinking ahhh...refreshing..that is a good movie to me:) Anyways my boss gave me free movie tickets and so Taylor and I went and saw....

Can I just say THANK YOU to who ever made this movie! Honestly I really am not a Disney fan but I must say I am starting to fall in love.

During the movie..
Taylor heard me "sniff" and he looked over at me and said, "are you CRYING??" Hiding my face from him,I replied to him by saying, "NO, my contacts are just bugging me! gezz.." Ha truly I was crying! oh silly me, I honestly just was touched by the movie...sometimes I get too into things. Let me explain myself though...There is a part where the Dad sheds a tear because he lost his daughter. For some reason that pushed the tear button on me and that's when my contacts started to really bother me:) Just kidden..It really just made me think of my Dad because he never really cries and it made me think of the time he cried when my brother Sam died. (This is funny that a Disney movie..Tangled..made me think of this..) Anyways.........CUTE movie definitely recommend it!:)If your contacts happen to bother you during the movie..its OKAY!

Surprise!

On Sunday I had a surprise BIRTHday party for my Dad at my house. I invited all 6 of my Dads brothers and their wives and his one sister and her hubby. They all couldn't make it because some live out of state but 4 out of the 7 came..so not a bad turn out.

The food was so yummy..My husband helped me make broccoli soup and ham & bean soup in bread bowels. My dad is a health nut so I made some whole wheat bread for him to have:) The food, dessert, company, was all great! The party was a success! Yes!
