The icing on the cake...

This year we have taken a lot of small random trips to places at the last minute. Well thanks to my brother Max we all decided to go to stay with my sister so the boys could go see BYU play against ZAGS.The tickets were only $350.00 a piece, no big deal especially since they WON! Such an awesome game! Especially with...

such a classy player that Jimmy Fredette! so sad he won't be playing w/BYU any more..

The trip to Colorado to be with my sister and her family was honestly SO FUN (not long enough though!). I LOVE being with my family (I wish I lived closer to my sister, she is one of my favorite people next to Tay of course!) I just feel so blessed we are close (not distance wise..heart wise) and the cherry on top is my husband! That makes for a wonderful life!

Here are some pictures from the trip..and also some other random pics of events that I just have not had time to blog about..our lives have not been that eventful lately due to working full time and going to school at night.

COLORADO~
The boys all going to the BYU basket ball game!

While the boys were gone we had a girls night out~
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE them!!!..cause if you have not noticed..I do.

>
We were in the movie store and there were all these inappropriate posters every where so Jen takes matters into her own hands...

Honestly there is just no one as precious as my sis!
(There really was the most ridiculous posters! I felt disturbed and I'm 20..no reason to subject your child to that crap.)

I really have not blogged about the food I have made..I just never take pictures of what I cook..but I really enjoy cooking so maybe I will start!

The other night we had some friends over and I decided to make Cafe Rio Pork Burritos..they turned out so yummy, even though it took me all day to make it but it was very worth it..

Date night with new friends..Tay knew Ryan back in high school and we got together for a double date a while ago with him and his wife. We had so MUCH FUN WITH THEM! I just LOVE kels, we have SO much in common and Tay loves Ryan (In a manly friend type of way of course)....

That is all for now! I need to finish my homework, the semester is almost over! CRUNCH TIME!

Wouldn't it be nice...

I have been taking occasional naps on cloud 9 and so I would like to blog about them...
I created a floor plan of what I would like my future DREAM house to look like (I just did the main level..I have not finished the top or basement)

another thing that has been on my mind is LAKE POWELL!

I just have such a love for water and boating! Lake Powell is a passion of mine.

When my brother Max was on his mission my Dad sold our house boat AND our boat..no one mentioned this to Max. Well when Max called home for Christmas he just randomly asked my brothers Ben and Marc if Dad sold the house boat, there was a long pause...Max then repeated.."DID DAD SELL THE BOATS??"............pause...Ben, "YEAH Max he did!"....long pause....."What else do you want to talk about, Mom dying.."

HAHAHA OH FUNNY. Anyways that conversation just illustrates how boating is like a member of our family and it was as if we had lost a family member when my Dad sold our house boat and the ski boat.

This is the last trip we took (unfortunately my whole family was not there..only a few of us but I will always remember the good times that were made in Powell with my AMAZING FAMILY!)

one day I would like to have..(not these exact boats..but similar)

and this...

I am stepping down from cloud 9 now...

A little bit of red here and there..

This Valentines I was especially excited because it is my first one being married:) Here is how my day went:

As I got out of the shower I went for my towel and it was gone, I turned the corner and saw my husband holding my towel in front of a little heater, he was standing there for a long time trying to get my towel warm ha ha, he is such a sweetie:)It is the little things that always seem BIG.

Tay then guided me to the kitchen, where I found that he had made me one of my favorite breakfast meals...fresh grounded whole wheat crepes with fruit and wonderfulness~

Tay was just recently made an accountant at his work and rarely has time to go to lunch everyday with me like he used to. Well he was able to make it work so he could take me to lunch at a yummy bakery, (I love fresh food) he sure knows how to make his women happy.

After we got off work I started making dinner. I made stir fry, which really is not hard but for some reason took ME SO LONG to get all the ingredients together and ready (probably because it had a bunch of random spices that I have never heard of). Anyways I got done and it turned out good but I made it with whole wheat noodles which just didn't do it and since I cooked for 8 people we will have left overs and I will have the chance to redeem myself and enjoy the stir fry with rice.

~Well after a late dinner Tay had the rest of the night planned..
He surprised me with MY FAVORITE PERFUME that I have wanted but I never would buy for myself.

~He spoiled me with an amazing massage..

~In addition he had a few other game surprises for me that topped of the night and made it simply DELIGHTFUL FOR THE BOTH OF US:)

~(He also wanted to take me to park city to go hot tubbing but it was late and we had to get up early the next day so we decided we will save that for this weekend).

~TAY A THOUGHTFUL man!!!??? - YES:)

Oh baby you are on my mind...

Just to let EVERYONE know..I really am not rushed to have a baby right now! A couple of weeks ago I decided to take a different route with school and my career choice so I want to be able to get my feet a little more on the ground before I bring little feet in the picture:)

Am I excited to have a baby??...(That really is not even a question as much as it is a fact) YES!! ah I think about my children everyday. I don't know if other women feel this way that have not had their children yet; I truly do feel like I already have a strong connection with each one of them, especial my first child. This may sound crazy to some but to me it is the most wonderful feeling. When ever I see Tay with a baby or little children I just think about how wonderful it will be when it is OUR child he is holding and playing with. Taylor will be a wise, wonderful Dad. I really enjoy when we talk about our future children and how excited he is to start a family with me, it makes me feel the great joy of having a FAMILY here on this earth as well as in the eternity.

Show the LOVE~

I LOVE VALENTINES!!

I am so excited for tomorrow because then I get to start the......

14 Days of Valentines~
(I got this idea from Angelica..I used to work with her when I was a wedding consultant, so I thank her for the idea.)

Day 1: Tomorrow night I am making 1 large homemade vegetable pizza with a red heart that says,"I am 1 lucky girl to have you".

Day 2: We have school till 10pm so when we get home I will rub his 2 tired feet while he eats 2 chocolate covered strawberries or bananas.

Day 3: Make him 3 of his favorite things for breakfast.

Day 4: This one is private.

Day 5: Fun 5 things to do for a date. Give him a list of the 5 things we are going to do for a date. Plan A- I was going to go get something to eat, go sledding with him, have hot chocolate, watch a movie, and cuddle, but it is not snowing so that will not work so we go to Plan B: Get something to eat, go country dancing (we have not gone since we were dating 2yrs ago), have hot chocolate or ice cream (depending how hot or cold we are), go home cuddle up and watch a romantic movie together.

Day 6: I am making 6 YUMMY magic bars with a red heart that says, "you make our marriage MAGICAL" (I know it is cheesy).

Day 7: 7 min in Heaven- full body massage (it might take longer then 7min. ha)

Day 8: 8 rolo cookies (they melt in your mouth when you bite into them so I will have a little note that says, "you melt my heart away".

Day 9: Write him a poem with 9 lines and read it to him.

Day 10: put 10 sticky notes all over his mirror with love quotes we say to each other.

Day 11: 11 HUGS & KISSES

Day 12: In 12 words I will write him a note telling him we are going shopping for slippers because he really wants some!(we have hard wood floor in the main area and so it is really cold on his feet in the morning)

Day 13: I have a big card made up for him with 13 reasons why I love him out of 500 million.

Day 14: a special, romantic dinner.

This time about now is when I am ready for winter to be over, having Valentines just makes everything better..at least for 14 days:)

A random trip to the Big Apple~

We just got back from NYC 4 days ago and we really had a fabulous time! About two weeks ago we decided to be spontaneous and go to NYC because..well just for fun really! I have been to NYC a lot but Tay has never been so it was really fun to go with him. I honestly LOVE taking off work and school to have a little get away with him. The only thing that I wish is that we would have waited for the summer because it WAS SO COLD. Other then being cold NYC was great, we both realized we would NEVER want to live in the city..unless Tay went to school or got a job there then I guess we would live in up state NY (a lot better in my opinion).

We quickly learned to say NO to people, right when we got off the plane a guy told us to follow him to his cab..so we did..(DUMB)anyway we continued to follow him into the parking garage, he finally stopped at this black SUV and we got in (dumb again) anyway he pulled a gun on us and told us to give him any money we had.

just kidding, just thought I would liven up the story, no we were really fine but he did charge us 80 dollars for the cab ride which was a joke.

After a couple days in NYC we took a bus to go see my brother Ben and his cute family in Boston.

The Condo we stayed at~(for free) - the view was amazing..we have a pic of it on Tay's phone but I'm too lazy to download it right now so here are the pics I got of just the inside of the Condo (which was really nice place to stay at..kind of plan.)

THE MUSEUM of Natural History~

BROADWAY PLAY~ We went and saw the Lion king which was seriously SO amazing, I love plays, they are so entertaining especially broad way ones! I kept trying to take pics but I kept getting in trouble..so I couldn't even take one of me and Tay, the ladies that worked there had their means pants on.

(we also went to ground ZERO..and they still have not finished the memorial, it was still neat to see how tall the building is going to be that they are building.)

SERENDIPITY~ One thing that bugs me about this place is that they charge so much for a meal because they serve such LARGE AMOUNTS and then you can only eat a small amount which makes me fill guilt we paid for it so we continue to shove our faces with food until we realized we haven't even eaten dessert yet. So we got Two desserts a frozen hot chocolate and a fudge ice cream... we only took about two sips of the hot chocolate and could barely make a dent in the fudge ice cream..It was VERY good though:)I only ask that they make there portion sizes smaller- but that is America's way of getting us nice and plump.

FOR THE LAST DAY WE DIDN'T HAVE A LOT OF TIME TO DO ANYTHING BUT WE DID MAKE A TRIP TO GET TO THIS WAFFLE STAND IN CENTRAL PARK~ my brother Ben and his wife recommended it to us. SO AMAZING! we would have eaten there ever day if we would have know how mouth watering good they are! When we got home Tay tried to make them and it took hours to make and he obviously didn't have the same recipe so they weren't as good but still very satisfying.
